Ages 7 to 17 |
From sequencing music to creating drum patterns, students learn to use electronic keyboards and computers to design music of all different styles. This class teaches students how to work with keyboards and computers of today’s times! All students must be at the intermediate level and placement into the class is based on audition.
Using computers, MIDI and acoustic instruments, students learn to orchestrate and create music of all different styles and ensembles. Students will also be taught the details of instrumental transposition, instrument ranges, and techniques of orchestral design. Students must be currently enrolled in private lessons with the Oakbrook Academy and placement into the class is based on a theory as well as performance audition.
Learn to record in a fully professional recording studio. Techniques in engineering include microphone placement and utilization, instrument and vocal recording, computer editing and mastering in a professional Pro Tools environment, multi-track recording, mixer board techniques, use of effects processors, and much more! CD recordings available to provide
finished products of recording sessions. Great opportunity to study with Pro Tools certified engineers.ith three levels ranging from beginning to advanced, students learn how to properly use a video camera, properly use film techniques, and ultimately edit their own footage. Final projects include a finished DVD of their film. Students learn everything from creating storyboards to the ultimate finished product! |
